check engine light, ets light, running rough, hesitation, engine stumble, spark plug not firing, getting spark from coil but still not firing in engine, almost ready to call tow truck..
that's where I was for almost 5 days.. Actualy MacGyvered system so I could try to make the check engine to come on.. and of course that didn't work.
Haynes manual was correct
almost the last sentence in the steps; checking causes of engine running rough and misfiring. integrated direct ignition module defective.
did all the checking, ohming, inspecting, testing.. having a remote starter did help, so when I pulled out the fuel rail I could stop the injectors from shooting too much fuel all over the engine. but they all worked.. same way with the spark plugs. check spark plugs first!
