Is there a way to reset the Check Gauges light on the dash?

There currently is or was a reason for it to be on.
What happened to cause it to come on?

The Coolant Temperature gauge reads low, but it does move up as the car warms...not much though. Was going to trace those wires as previously suggested.

Thermostat in it? It's under the cap on the engine if it's a 2.0 OHC. Would read low temp if stuck open all the time or missing altogether...

Doug in P.R.

It's a 3.1 V6. I'll check the thermostat.....thanks!

If you have a low gauge reading you can't reset the message.

Changed the sensor and the thermostat - gauge is now reading 140 to 160 consistently. Check Gauges light remains lit - is there a reset?

What temperature thermostat did you install?

A 198 degree one.. oem temp? Fan not running after a 1/2 hour at 80 mph on the highway and a 10 minute idle. Will check that next....temp stayed at just under 160 on the gauge.

It should read a minimum of the thermostat rating when fully warmed up.
