Hey!...New to the forum here. I'm having a problem with a '99 Sunfire. When driving forward, if I apply the parking brake, I get a clunk from, I think, the right rear. Doesn't seem to do it when using the regular service brakes.

Any ideas out there? Thanks.

why would you apply the parking brake while the car is in motion? Pull the brake drum and see if anything is broken.

No, I'm not practicing my "Rockford Turns"...LOL

But seriously, I don't think anything's broken. I had just done a brake job on the car, and during the test drive I applied the parking brake to check the application of the rear brakes, and then I hear this clunk. It also seems to be happening when backing up and applying the foot brakes.

check the rear brakes again and also all the rear suspension bushings.
