I have a 2004 Pontiac grand am and when i was putting the car in 1st gear the clutch pedal fell all the way to the floor. The car has 74,000 miles on it and has not had any problems or signs that the clutch was going to go out, does anyone know what it might be and around how much to get fixed. Thanks for your help

sounds like a hydraulic problem, could be a leak in a hose or the master or slave cylinder failed

sounds like you need to be taking it somewhere else, just my 2cents.

Do you leave your left foot resting on the clutch pedal other than when actually shifting?
