Dear Lemans forum,

Does anyone know how the courtesy lamp on the center console comes on? I did a Find on my Lemans pdf manuals for "Courtesy" and can only see the fuse ratings for the Console Courtesy Lamp.

My issue is when I replaced the bad fuse on the fuse block for the cigarette lighter, the lighter started working but the center console courtesy light at the rear of the console came on. And the lamp stays on and will not turn off.

I checked my owner manual and also the electrical schematic diagram and cannot locate how to turn off the lamp.

Is there a switch on the instrument panel or does it work of the door switches?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Al

Hi Melsg5,

Thanks. You must be referring to the console compartment lamp. Sorry I was not clear. I was referring to the console courtesy lamp at the rear of the center console, which illuminates the rear passenger seat area.

After I replaced the fuse for the cigarette lighter in the fuse box, the bulb came on and it will not turn off. I thought it was wired to the front door jamb switches and I closed both doors but the light stays on.

Thanks
