I own a young '99 GA 2.4 liter, with 284K miles on it. She is bleeding coolant, back side of the motor low on the pass side. It actually drains with the engine off, cold and I am filling the overflow tank. I can't see what or where it is leaking from, even as I put it up on ramps. Any thoughts?

Get a radiator pressure tester to make it easier to see the source of the leak.

Turned out to be the water pump. This was replaced by a Goodyear shop last year along with the timing chain last year. Goodyear returned the car to me still leaking, and worse is studdering under acceleration, terrible starting with blue fog of fuel out the tail pipe. Of course I immediately brought the car back. After almost a month in the shop, they did stop the leak, but it is still not the same car. I won't return to Goodyear again. They've lost my business. Since then I've taken it to the dealer who replaced the fuel pump, and a 3rd shop and getting no help, at least without pulling the engine for a rebuild ($$$). Still driving the car till the engine decides it has had enough and thus far put over 10k miles and I'm 200 miles shy of 300,000. Been a great buy back in 2001, at around 40k. Still upset tho at those folks at Goodyear. It could be running a lot better, at least it was superior (less the water pump leak) running before Goodyear. Bad business.

Sounds like you could have a fuel pressure regulator problem, causing it to run rich at idle/low RPM's .
