Coolant leak

My 98 Montana van is leaking at the thermostat housing. There is a tube at the rear of the housing that goes to the fire wall. That tube only has a small O-ring to seal it. Replaced the O-ring but it still leaks, a steady stream?

this is a video of a thermostat replacement on a 1998, do you see the tube you are referring to in this video? Only small hose I saw was held on with a clamp at about 2:55 into the video.

The thermosat housing is 522 in the diagram and does not show any hose

Thank you Number 531 and 532 are on the fire wall side of the thermostat housing. It leaks past the o-ring.

In this video, same guy, they replace the heater hoses. Are you missing a quick disconnect?

Very perceptive of you, yes I am. I cut it off so I could use a hose clamp instead of GM's better idea. It turns out my "Heater Pipe" as called by Pontiac, lost the end due to corrosion. That is why I did not see the ring where the o-ring went. Today I ordered a new heater pipe which I hope will fix my coolant leak. It seems "learning experiences" never end. I cannot believe I'm the only one that has had this issue. Thanks for sponsoring this site.
