Cooling System Leak

Hey Guys,

I have a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire with the 2.2L engine. I have a leak that starts at the coolant tank and travels to the bottom of the block BYPASSING the radiator entirely and comes out of a hole that looks like a plug is possibly missing. New water pump and radiator. Looked like a cracked/blown head until we realized that the water wasnt even getting to the radiator. Any ideas are appreciated

I assume this is a hole in the block? Does the hole appear to be threaded? If it is threaded have you tried to measure the diameter of it and attempt to find a bolt with the same thread?
