I have heard and read so many different people talking about what the ohms reading should be on the A and B crank sensors and the Cam sensor. Does anyone know exactly what they should be and if there is such a thing as too much of an ohm reading? I read where the drivers side crank sensor should be up to 900 ohms but if i have over 900 does that mean it is bad? I never see anyone speak on this issue. This is one i read how to test the sensor.
This is what you need to do:
But that person never mentioned if the reading was over 900 what condition it would create in the ignition system.
This is what you need to do:
- 1
Put your multimeter in Ohms (Ω) mode. - 2
Disconnect Connector 2 from the ignition control module. - 3
Connect the red multimeter test lead to the wire that connects to the terminal labeled with the letter A. - 4
Connect the black multimeter test lead to the wire that connects to the terminal labeled with the letter C. - 5
The multimeter's Ohms reading should read 500 to 900 Ohms.
But that person never mentioned if the reading was over 900 what condition it would create in the ignition system.
