• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... We have a 2006 Torrent. For the last two years we have experienced a starting problem with this car. Car will crank but will not start. The dealer can not figure it out. After you try to start it 3 to 5 times it will start and run rough than smooth out. Is anyone else experiencing this same problem. What is the fix ?

thanks for your reply. when ever I go to the highlighted link it takes me to a VW advertisement.

the link you were supposed to click on is in post #2 which takes you to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, below I have copied it for you. Fill in the year, make and model, click on the service bulletins tab, go to page 2, where you will see exactly what I posted above.

rbcoats,
I would like to apologize for the issues that you are experiencing with your Torrent. I would like to look into this for you. Can you please send me a PM with your name, address, phone number, VIN, current mileage and the name of your dealer? I look forward to your response.
Thank you,
Stacy GM Customer Service

she asked for a PM, private message, you may want to delete your post.

contacted my dealer once again. I gave them the service bulletin number, they said that they can not find any such number in the system.

You could have copy and pasted it to print it out for them. You were supposed to send a private message to GM Customer service, you click on the name in their post and a drop down pops up and you select private message. It's clearly on the NHTSA site as applying to your vehicle really dont know what else I can do for you.

Yes I sent the customer service rep a private, Have not heard back from them. I did print out the information on the service bulletin and gave it to the dealer. The dealer said that no service bulletin with that number existed.

Here is another site listing the bulletin, call GM customer service and tell them about the issue you are having and the dealer's, it is a GM dealer?, inability to find it.
This is the phone number 1-800-762-2737 if you are in Canada call 1-800-263-3777

Thank you very much. I just called G.M. and they opened a case file for us. I think we are on the right track now. Hope to get this problem resolved before we get stranded some where.
