I got a 2001 Sunfire back in the spring. It only had 23,700 miles on it. Right after I got it on the way home the engine light came on. I plugged my CarChip in the OBII port and it said "Crankshaft position sensor PO336". I changed the sensor but it still says the same thing. Some times the engine light come on and sometimes it doesn't. It also says "Fuel System2: Open loop has not yet satisfied conditions to go to closed loop" ... Does anybody have any idea what I have here? It runs good but sometimes it starts funny. It always does start and sometimes it starts fine, sometimes it is draggy. ??????? What say you???

Is this forum just friggin' useless or what? I posted this on October 29 and no answer yet. Well hell, I'll answer my own post. The problem was the starter. I though the check engine light was causing a condition that caused the starter not to function right. It turns out the starter problem was causing the engine light and indicated a "Crank Position Sensor" was bad. Changed the starter and everything is well.
