Hello!

My 2006 Torrent won't start, no spark. Replaced the ignition switch and that didn't do the trick. I am thinking it could be the coil pack, but as I was researching I came across some folks saying that it could be the Crankshaft Position Sensor. I was trying to find some information on how many ohms the sensor puts out? Is there any other way of testing the sensor?
Thanks for looking.

Ed

Thanks for the info. I did try a Actron CP9175 OBD II Auto Scanner and it came up "no codes read". So now I'm stuck with process of elimination, unless of course you have any ideas?

got it running. Then it died again. Luckily I had the code scanner with me and it said p0108- MAP/BARO Circuit High Input. So off to the parts store.

I replaced the MAP sensor and now back to square 1. No fire. Would the MAP sensor going bad cause the NEW crankshaft sensor to go bad? Ya know, the old cars didn't have to have all this electronics and you could figure out what was wrong pretty easily. Need a car company that would go back to that. Help.

just got done putting on a new coil pack. Still wont start. At this point, I am getting a little frustrated.

Your timing chain probably jumped. Call your dealer
