Cruise Control issue on 2007 Torrent

I can set the cruise out on the highway (or anywhere else) and it will work for about 10 minutes, sometimes a little longer, then it will just shut off, like I pushed on the brake or something. The power light is still on on the steering wheel, but the indicator light goes out in the instrument panel. After this happens, it will not re-engage until next time I drive the vehicle. I've tried turning the power on and off, pulled up on the brake pedal, made sure the brake light switch and lights are working, including the third brake light, all to no avail. Sometimes when it decides to quit working, the car actually starts to accelerate until I step on the brake to disengage the system, pretty scary.

Anyone else had this issue, if so what was done to fix it? I'm stumped.

Take it to your dealer for an inspection of your throttle actuator. Tell them to check for computor updates for the PCM and BCM
