cylinder 2 misfire

I am looking at purchasing a 2002 grand am gt. The person that has the car says that the cylinder 2 has a misfire and needs and ignition coil. I am wondering if this is a common problem or if something else major could be wrong with this grand am? Any advice will be greatly appreciated

If you test drive it you could scan it. it should throw the proper code p0302. Anyway since it is not generic like p0300, then it would be something specific to that cylinder (spark plug, spark plug wire, fuel injector ... ect) My 3400 impala's head gasket went an leaked into 1 cylinder and threw a misfire so it could be many things you just have to look.

$35 for a rebuilt one
