I have a 95 sunfire 2.2 it has been sitting now I need it now I need it replaced the following battery, starter, fuel filter, plugs and wires, two motor mounts, tensioner pulley , back brakes , fixed vacum leak. idles good, goes good in reverse, lacks power in drive and wont go over 40. balks doesnt seem to want to shift any ideas?

no i didnt see it come on, so i expected it to run tried having auto parts stores run the codes but no one had one that would work they said it was a year they changed the computer in the cars and ended up with a mess.

Your need someone with a OBD1 scanner. Try a fuel pressure test and test the coil packs.

Dirty injectors, plugged exhaust would cause those symptons also.

forgot to mention cleaned the injector, did not think about the cat being pluged thanks will check that too.

update

replaced the coil pack ran real good on test run of about 4 miles just around the count block. then started it again ran about about 1 city block and it died and would not start. dumped in 2 gallons of gas andit showed a half tank, started up got it home im thinking there is bad gas in the bottom of the tank and when it starts to get to it i have trouble . car sat for almost a year , oppinions just keep filling it with good gas untill it gets flushed and maybe some seafoam?
