I have found the build lists for my other 74 vehicles, one I found up on top of the gas tank, another I found inside the passenger door of my 74 El camino. I also found another build list inside the door panel of my 74 Chevelle, but Im curious is to where i might look to find the build list of my 77 Pontiac Grand Prix.
The build list was a piece of paper, listing all the cars options and gear ratios transmission, power windows, engine size, color, tire size, you name it, kind of like a Recipe for your car as it was entering the assembly line the day it was first put together, the workers at the plant, would stash them in strange places as they were putting parts on the cars.
My question is, has anyone found their pontiacs build list, and where did you find it.
Dont lose it, it proves your vehicles originality, and contains helpful information, when you need to replace broken parts.
Thank you

In the past I have found several build sheets in my Pontiac's, Most were either on top of the gas tank, or under the Carpeting. But I have also found them tucked into the lower seat springs (both front and back seats) and on my fathers 78 Catalina Safari I found one behind the passenger side front door panel, It also had a large "rework" sticker applied next to it. Also it was th only build sheet I have found that was taped in place, all the others were just stuffed in place.
I don't know what needed to be reworked on the 78 wagons door. But seeing it had a build sheet taped next to it I suspect it was option related, either power windows or Locks, Possibly the passenger side rear view mirror.
