I own a 2003 sunfire. I just bought it a few days ago and realized I have no done light bulb so I bought one T store only to than realize it won't shut off when I shut the car off. Now I was driving the car and decided to check it and I put bulb back in and wallah it works the switch shuts it on and off but as soon as I shut the car off the lights go on and stay on Again! Please help it's becomin a rel pain in my ass!
Domelights will shut on/off when car is running but won't shut off when car is off?

Map lights also stay on when cars off but when it's runnin they work with the switch
Please email me any help you can give or post on here I like email better cause it comes right to my phone if I'm not on here.! Having no dome light is a terrible experience trust me . It takes me twenty minutes to find a lighter in my purse.
I don't believe it is the door button because why would everything wOrk normal when car is running but not when it's off? I heard there is a relay of some sort under either drivers side or passenger side of the dash does anyone know where or what it looks like and why it would screw uP like this? I am not stupid I am not a mechanic either but all I need to know is what and how and I can fix it myself. Google has let me down this time. Julieannsnedeker@yahoo.com

Are you aware that the switch probably has 3 positions, Off, Constantly On, and On with door open? The relays are listed in your owners manual. Below is a link if you dont have a copy.

is it a coupe or Sedan? sunroof or no? my dome lights ususally turn off atfer you start the engine and turn off about 5-15 seconds after you turn off the car and lock it
