Pull the handle up and at the same time use your finger to move the latch up. If the door handle doesn't allow you to do this (make sure the door isn't locked) you will have to pull the inner door panel and see what broke. If the outside handle doesn't work try the inside one. I am restoring my 80 T/A and bought new handles and mechanisms from Classic Industries. Mine does the same thing that yours does. Usually it is caused by sagging doors. You can get new hinges from Classic or you can get a bushing kit for the hinge pin. I have never had good luck with the bushings but maybe you will. One last thing. If it is doing the same thing as mine you shouldn't have to hold the handle open; you should beable to just push the latch up with your finger.
Hey, thanks for the swift response. You guys share priceless information on this server. I'll give it a shot, though. Hopefully this doesn't get ugly. Did Classic rape you for those parts?
