I have a 2005 pontiac montana sv6. Here is the problem. Sometimes when you stop put it in park and shut it off the drivers door will unlock but no other doors will unlock. If you start it up and shut it off a few times maybe the doors will unlock. Then for the next day or so there will be no issue. When it is working everything works, the button on the drivers door will work, they automatically work. When they arent working they dont automatically unlock the button on the drivers door wont unlock any of the passenger doors or the rear gate. you have to manually unlock the back doors and the front passenger door. When we are having the problem you cant open the gate at all. Someone told me to reset it? I went throughg the menu on the dash and tried to reset it but no good. The problem has no ryhm or reason. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

2 suggestions.
1 using ur owners manual reprogram the door lock/unlock feature by getting into the program mode and completing the required steps.

2 disconnect the battery for Apx 30 mins maybe it needs reset?

Welcome and don't forget to post what fixed it.

I tried resetting the settings to default or factory default. So far we havent had any problems. My wife also mentioned that the radio reception isnt as good as it should be either. Any thoughts on that? Anyhow if we have problems with the locks again I'll try disconnecting the battery. I didn't want to try both the same day. So I know what works. Thanks again.

Glad to hear it may be fixed. If that makes any sense. Radio reception ....... I don't know but to check the back of the radio to make sure the antenna wire didn't come un plugged but if it did then i don't think u would get any reception. Plus they don't just come loose they have to be pulled out, they fit snug. Maybe radio is going bad ? My past 2000 Montana radio lost some of the lights on the front and half the display but still received reception.
