There is a special tool that slides between the door panel and window crank to remove the clip. The clip usually faces the long end and when released tends to fly out the back end and shoot across the area you are working in. You can buy a K-D tool at any auto parts or auto body supply. Place one hand at the opposite end of the crank to catch the clip. The tool shouldn't cost more than a few $$$
