Ok so I have a 2001 sunfire (200k+ miles), and we had freezing rain over here in New Jersey. after it was done; the next day I opened the door. It didnt close again after that. I looked at the latch and it wont really move at all. the door handle dosent do anything for it either. lol when I drive I hold the door closed with one hand and the wheel with the other one. is there any quick fix to this issue? I heard that some spring may have frozen and shifted out of place but everywhere i looked online just told me about why the door isnt closing not how to fix it.
(tried to compair it to the other door latch but the other door is stuck shut after a tree bent the hinge)
tried:
Heating the latch
wd-40
pulling the latch with my hand
TLDR:
freezing rain screwed up my door latch how can I fix it?
