Drive by wire

Once in a while when leaving a stop lite you push on the acc. and the motor doesnt speed up till you push it down a ways then it hits pretty hard. It is not the familiar trans problem,already been thru that. I suspect one of the acc. units is failing. Any body delt with this?

Mine is a 2006 (should have said that) the acc pedal connects to a plastic box under the dash and there is no mechanical connection at the throttle body.
