...Grand Am??? The drivers side window on the car wouldn't roll down. My husband took the window motor out of the back passenger door and tried to see if it would work in the drivers side and it didn't. He put it back in the passenger side door and rolled the window down, now it won't roll the window back up?? Any thoughts on what he could do to get the window back up? It doesn't have to roll back down, we just need it up. What could be wrong with the drivers side door? I know it has power it just wont roll down?

If you don't care about it being operational, simply remove the motor again, and raise the window manually, then reattach the motor. It will hold it in place. Another option is to unhook the glass from the regulator, raise the glass, and screw a small block of wood to the inside of the door, just under the glass to support it.

i had a similar problem with the back window of my buick regal and a mechanic just slammed the door, not extremely slamming, but just enough and the window was just stuck from the hot florida sun. probably not the best advice, but worth the try.
