Have decided to convert my front drum brakes to disc and add power booster at the same time. Looks like the kits online will do the trick, but wanted to know if anyone has used one of these kits and could tell me how it went and what kit they bought and installed. Also... The kits I am looking at for my 1966 Lemans all say that it will move the tracking width out 7/16". What does this mean? Do they mean that the hub assembly will be out 7/16" further and closer to the fender of the car?

Have no first hand experience with any kits. The kits that www.amesperf.com sells say nothing about a track increase but do warn about caliper interference when using 14" wheels. You interpretation of track increase is correct and would effect oversize width wheels and/or tires.

I did a front disk conversion with power brakes. From master cylinder to cross drilled and slotted front disks. I called summit, they sold a "just right" brake kit. Works good so far. I only have 30 miles on it so it's not really broken in yet. You can buy the 4 disk brake kit for a few hundred more. The kit has all the lines so front to back was changed. i wanted power brakes because I am spoiled with my modern cars. I would buy the kit again. Good luck on your project.
1967 LeMans convertible.

I used the Baer T4 disc brake setup for my 72 Lemans, but mine are 13" rotors, and I increased the wheel size to 17". Not sure if you're planning on doing anything with the wheel/tire sizes, but if you do, I suggest running the Baer T4 kit.

Take a look at Checkeredracing.com. I am in the process of installing their kit, which is stated to work with 15" rims.
