Its winter in wisconsin and my electric window came out of place (boyfriend heard a snap sound) we were able to keep it rolled up for ahwile but last night it fell out of place, and down into the door.
What would it take to fix this? could we take the door off and find the window and pull it up into place until I can afford to get a new one? Or do I need to replace whole window system since I think it broke out of place. I am broke but need my car to travel with my infant daughter and want to travel a few hours for christmas in a couple weeks and I don't know what I can do for now

The plastic retainers probably broke. You may need a new window and or track.
You can take the inner panel off the door, and put the window back in place and tape it (or secure it in some way) until you can get it fixed properly.

more than likely if you can still hear the window motor moving when you use the switch, the plastic clips that hold the window to the regulator are broke. common on g am's. you can get new ones and have the adhered to the window. there is a specific glue to use though. your local dealer should be able to get you what you need.

Buy a new window regulator from ebay, they cost about $40 dollars and are very easy to install. Ask me how I know;);). Good luck.
