electrical problem??

Hi,

a couple of days ago i bought a sunfire 97 for not to much money so it got some things to fix

1 of the things i really want to fix are the power windows because they all dont work, not in the front and also not in the back.

The guy i bought the car from told me the window motors are broken but isn't that a bit weird that all 4 motors are broken?

also i beleve the car has central locking with the key but also whit a button and that doesn't do a thing, so i really think there is a electric problem some were

does anyone know were i can start looking? i took 1 door panel of to look and my plan was to try the motor but what is the best way to do that or how do i test the motor?

start by checking fuses and relays, here is a copy of the 99 manual. If they are good check the main switch for power and then progress to the motors. Check for a broken wires in the rubber tube between the door and frame.

forgot to tell that i checked the fuses, not the relais, i don't hear a "click" or anything from the relais if i touche the buttons but i will check if there is power on the main switch tomorrow!!

and you say i broken wire between the door but if there is a broken wire the other 3 should work wright? or if there is 1 broken wire to 1 motor all 4 motors stop working?

since I dont know the history of the car, one window may have stopped one year ago, the other 6 months ago, etc. I added that possibility.
