Hi again! We have installed the rebuilt engine and started it up for just a few seconds. Used cheaper 10w40 oil. We thought to change it after about 1000km to Valvoline VR1 20W50. But now I found that you need a special additive and procedure for brake in. Thank god we didn't run it more. I found here that melsg5 recommended the same VR1 oil. So should I just drain the cheap oil out and use VR1 as break in or buy COMPcams oil additive? If I use the oil additive, how much do I need for the 350?

Buy one bottle of the additive and use the 10W30 VR1, do not use the 20W50 unless you are racing the car or live in a very hot climate.

Thank you! We have +30 to -30 degees celcius temperature (more like -20). But I'm guessing the owner doesn't drive it at winter.
