I have a 97 Pontiac Trans am convertable 5.7, had the motor rebuilt about 30,000 miles ago, I have had nothing but oil leaks water pump I had to replace 6 times, has anyone Put an LS1 engine to replace LT1 engine? And did it help?

I sent the engine to a rebulilder the shop that put it in is family, they are professionals I tryied 4 different brands of waterpumps, I love to Drive it, but Ive had it 19 years and Im frusted and tired of fixing the sames things
