Hi
have a 1965 catalina with a 455cui engine.
carburetor is a Rochester quadrajet.
the engine has the following defects.
When you turn the ignition key, there is not always some kind of deflagration and there is smoke from the air filter.
sometimes it goes well and sometimes it doesn't.
ignition is currently at 11 degrees before ot.
What I also noticed is that it often does not start when I play the organ, but when I turn the ignition key to the left again. Then it ignites and still starts. As if something were with the ballast resistor!
what he still does is after organ if he doesn't start.
key is on the left again.
then the pistons move again as if he had a problem with the crankshaft ventilation.
what do you all mean?
