engine stalling

i have 2000 grand am gt v-6. when i start the engine 1 out of 4 times it will die soon as it cranks and the security light blinks for exactly 10 min. goes off and the car starts fine. but after a few times it will do it again.. any ideas?

have you tried another key, otherwise it's probably the sensor mounted on the ignition switch.
