Engine Swap

Hey all,

I have a 2000 sunfire with a bad motor 2.2L I think (trans is fine).

I also have a 1999 grand am se (3.4l v6 I believe).

I've had a couple friends tell me that I can put the grand am engine in the sunfire and use the sunfire's existing transmission. Is this true?

man i wouldnt do that. ive read a whole lot about this and to install a 60 deg v- 6 in there will be a lots of money. i heard it should only be done by a pro....big money..and a heap of fabbing it out...i personally wouldnt waste the money at that point. unless you are looking at competeing..id be more inclined to ask is your sunfire a daily driver before i could answer that better..........
