Hey all

Just bought an obd 2 reader

I got 8 codes total

2 of them related to emissions

P0440
P0442

And

Abs codes are

C1221
C1222
C1225
C1226
C1232
C1233

I know the 2 emissions codes are leaks or something to do with a leak

And the 6 brake codes are to do with wheel sensors

Is it easy to replace the front left and front right abs wheel speed sensor harnesses ?

And how would I check what is leaking ? I read something about using smoke ?

Any help is good help ! Thanks

Forgot to add that I've just replaced front left and front right wheel hub assembly's 2 weekends ago .

these are the things to check for the P0440 and P0442, easiest thing to start with is a new gas cap. The smoke test requires the purchase of a very expensive tester

The ABS codes could be a number of things, sensors, harness, computer. You can randomly start replacing parts or find a shop that actually run through a series of diagnostic tests. Not knowing your experience level it is hard to tell if replacing harness is difficult, recommend you look at it before buying a new one and judge for yourself.

Thanks for the info !

There is a new gas cap on for the last 2 months now so not sure that's the issue but ya never know .

As for the other stuff
Guess I can just bring it in and have them check if I need new hoses etc. I'll bring it to 2-3 different places and see if they all say the same or not

Thanks pal
Much appreciated

Just a tip: anytime you have multiple codes in your computer, write them down, and clear them. Drive it for a while (if it is drivable) and see what comes back on. Many times 1 code trips others.
