My husband would like to put an exhaust system on our 1998 Pontiac Trans Am. He would like to know if anyone can reccommend an exhaust set up that would give the most power gains and give it a nice loud tone. He wants to do true dual exhaust, but any recommendations would be great!

Go with a H pipe, and I personaly like the sound of dynomax or flowmaster, but pypes, has a good one too, Get a nice 3 inch setup, with some long tube, ceramic coated headers, and that will give you another 15 hp as well, plus less weight. not to mention it looks good too. Remove the Cats, I did on mine, but in Canada thats not illegal, if you live in California, then dont. Thats only asking for those tree huggers to give you one massive fine.

I would use a system from pypes.com. They have a 2-1/2" mandrel bent system that will outflow a regular 3" system. Pypes also has a good selection of diffrent sounding mufflers. Good luck on whatever you decide.
