Just purchased a 2001 Montana with 140,000. Very nice vehicle but there are a couple problems. Per the inspection, both rear shocks are leaking and the levelling is inop. The springs seem to be fine - there is no sag in the rear end.

So, rather than replacing both air shocks and the levelling system, have any of you just installed regular gas shocks? If so, is there any special procedure and which shocks (make and model) did you use?

There are no message appearing on the dash. Not sure if there would be a message if the levelling was not working correctly.

Thanks

Correct about the message, none will appear. The rear auto leveling I believe was an option and just chose the model that does not have that option and use that part # .Try searching " gmpartsdirect.com ".

NAPA carries the shocks also
