When starting with motor cold, it runs at fast idle at 2,200 RPM. it can take 4/5 minutes for it to idle down to normal. It does this irregardless of outside temperature.
-leak in the EGR valve feed to the intake-?
-coolant temperature sensor-?
-air idle control sensor-?
-crack in the throttle-?
-throttle position sensor-?
-higher thermostat-?
Will openly admit I'm not a techy mechanic/and grasping at straws. would like a few opinions on this, would scoping discover the problem?

Thanks,
Wayne

Fiero idle

What year fiero.....?
4cyl or v6.......?
How many miles on it....?
Check for vac leak.....
Use brake cleaner on intake and vac lines with engine running listen for diffrence in idle.....
Also check throttle plate for carbon
Check iac{idle air controller}. It's on throttle body
That's a start
Let me know what you find
