Fiero with Later CD player question.

Hi there!

This is my first post on here, and I hope I can get some help.

I had installed a CD player out of a late 90's Grand Am into my father's '87 Fiero GT.

The CD player has an E20 error when putting a CD in while the car is running, but works perfectly when not. I'm guessing the vibration is causing the laser to not find the tracks. I'm thinking some soft rubber grommets on all the mounting points would help.

Have any of you had this issue and if so, how did you fix it.

Sorry, but the link didn't help at all.

I know why the E20 comes up, it's the vibration of the car while it's running causing the laser not to focus. When the car is not running it works perfectly on either burnt or original CD's.

I just need to isolate the CD player so the vibration of the car doesn't affect it.
 
if the laser is loose causing it to not read while moving I doubt you will be able to prevent road bumps from causing it to fail. Open the unit and check the mounting of the laser.
