...question? Well....I just bought a trans am but it doesn't have a Ram Air system on it. What can be purchased (air intake wise) to make up for the 20 hp that mine does not have?

uhhh tht dude who told u to get the hood doesn't know anything about cars and must be shot!...u must remember tht the hood did not provide power....it just let air in to supply more,cooler,fresher air to the turbo inside the engine.....u need to go get ur self a turbo kit( or a better bet would be to go to pontiac and ask them if they can still make the conversion....it might be a bit costly but it'll do the job well...u'll also need to change ur speedo meter gagues....1998-2002 transam WS6s can go 260 kmph

You can just use a decent aftermarket intake /air filter set up but I would seriously doubt that there is a 20 HP difference with the Ram Air set up ..
that was just GM hype to see who would fall for an overpriced factory intake set up you may have actually seen a 1-2 HP improvment , but no where near 20..
if you invest your money wisely you can get more than 20 HP with some simple mods , Exhaust , fuel pressure regulator and injectors and a PCM tune
are a good start..
