I drive a 2000 Firebird.
After driving it for about 15 - 20 minutes of 'non-stop' driving, the transmission starts to jump, pop and slip, ...and after that starts happening it is difficult to get out of people's way when trying ti take off on a road.
What are your suggestions to possibly make it work a little better without having to replace or completely re-build the transmission in this car?

It needs to be examined and repaired.See if there's enough fluid in it then read the OBD II trouble codes to see if it's a simple thing easily fixed. Make sure it has enough transmission fluid in it.If the problem can't be determined by a trouble code or simple looking over, take it to a specialist.

get about 6 or 7 quarts of transmission fluid and filter and change it. you might want to use a additive. i use ( trans-medic) its a good additive.
