Firebird would not start

while I was changing the left signal socket on my V6 Fire bird my hands accidentally touched the 2 wires ( which caused them to touch each other) and now my car would not start. I put the key in the ignition my radio and the light works, but not the car will not start their isn't even a single light on the dash board.. What would be the problem. If anybody can help me I would appreciate it .

Check the fuses for a blown one.

See if there is a blown fusible link in the harness going to the starter and always disconnect the battery before working with a wire harness
