Anybody else have an issue with the front end "creaking". It only happens at low speeds. It sounds like the creaking of a boat rubbing up against a dock.

The sway bar end link bushings were completely worn on both sides, so I replaced those.

I've also lubricated all rubber bushings as well as the spring where it sits on the strut with ATP AT-205 reseal.

It was fine for a day or so, but now the noise is back and it's driving me nuts.

Thanks!

how many miles on the struts?

The car (and struts) have 17,000 miles on them. I can't imagine they're bad already. It's a 2007 G6 convertible.

thanks very much.

have you tried jacking up the front end and have someone turn the wheel while you listen for the source of the noise?

Hi, no. Because it doesn't happen when turning. Only when driving under 30 and going over bumps. I never hear it at highway speeds or when turning.

hi again.

so i did some more snooping around under the car, and indeed the creaking does happen when turning the wheel either left or right.

i can't seem to pinpoint exactly where it's coming from though.

anything in particular i should pay attention to?

thanks again!

the upper strut mount

Should I replace them?

try verifying that is the source of the noise first
