Hello all,

I have an odd situation, and I'd like to know if anybody could offer some suggestions. I've had my 2001 Montana for about a year, now, and I've not had any issues with it at all. I did the front pads and rear shoes about 3 weeks ago, and in doing so, rotated my tires (left to right, keeping the rears on the rear and the fronts on the front). After doing the job, everything seemed fine, but now, I get a noticeable wobble in the car. This only happens when I'm on the accelerator, and only happens above 40-45 MPH. It is heavier the harder I'm on throttle, and goes away as soon as I let off the throttle. When I reach cruising speed anywhere between 45 and 70 and let off on the throttle, it goes away as well.

I'm thinking that it might be an engine or trans mount that has gone loose, but I find it odd that it just suddenly decided to do that after doing the brakes.

Also, I found that the my CV joint boot seals have gone, and a noticeable amount of axle grease has leaked from them on both sides. There was more on the passenger side than the driver side.

Any ideas?

thanks!!

Hello all,

Also, I found that the my CV joint boot seals have gone, and a noticeable amount of axle grease has leaked from them on both sides. There was more on the passenger side than the driver side.

I meant to add that I currently don't have any clicking or noticeable problems with the CV joints, yet, unless this is a warning sign of their doom. :)

I have had axles gone bad by clicking and bucking on tight turns but never a wheel wobble . I would rotate the front tires back to the original spots and see if the wobble goes away. Tire pressure ok?

cool, I'll give it a whirl :)

I guess I should also mention to check ur wheelbearing and ball joints , tie rod ends. Just to be safe.

I go with the wheel rotation starting your issue also, sure you have the wheels properly mounted?
