Fuel gauge ohms

I need fuel gauge sender unit ohms for 1998-2005 sunfire. I replaced the fuel tank on my 1998 sunfire with a plastic tank with pump already in it. Now my fuel gauge reads 1/8the of a tank, when it's actually empty. I think the tank/pump unit was off a 2003 sunfire. Is the ohms different or the same

autozone lists the same pump for 1998 and 2003, since it's used you may have a bad sender.
