i was wondering where the fuel line out is on my 91 sunbird beacause my car stopped working while i was driving and im sure its the pump because it wont start any more. it ll sound like it wants to but i also noticed that usually theres a little gas in the carb usually but didnt see any. anyway i wanted to know where the line out was for the fuel from the pump so i can see if theres any fuel being pumped from it

Just get underneath the rear of the car and remove one line off the filter by the tank and turn the key on.

There is no fuel port on these cars ( even the 92 and up MPFI 2.0 with a fuel rail) to hook up a fuel pressure guage.

Fuel Line inlet on the throttle body: ( if you dont feel like crawling under the car)

Did you check the relay? Its on the passenger side inner fender ( 3 together) The one with the purple wire is the fuel pump one.

thank you so much for the info!! i will check under today and if so switch out the pump and let you know how it goes tomorrow!

I forgot to add , 91's had a fuel pump wiring problem with the hot wire to the pump getting shorted out and the fuse blowing. The wire routing off the fuse box contacts a ground and cause the fuse to blow.

Check the power wire to the pump with a test light while you are under the rear of the car and if you not getting any fuel before you go through all the trouble to drop the tank.
