ok i have a 1990 sunbird le 2.0 and i replaced the cylinder head and it was running great untill i put a new air cleaner on it...now i have to hold the throttle wide open to get it to start..... and if i dont rap up the rpms it will load up....it doesnt have any adjustment screws on the intake. i think the cap and rotor needs replaced. could it be a firing problem...??? i have an exhaust leak too but ive had it leakin for a while

if it was running great till you changed the air cleaner or do you mean you changed the air filter? Either way you may have disconnected something causing a vacuum leak.

i replaced the air filter and ive looked over it all....map sensor ...air charge temp sensor... i guess i could better the pcv valve connection..but other than that shes tight...i did just have some electrical issues do you think maybe the ecm could be faulty? the spark plugs were so burnt...they were the bosh platniums too.....i could check the o2 sensor.....i would think that it would show a check engine code for how bad it runs at low speed..

did you do a compression test?
