my 1981 camaro did have one...

so far, i have replace the mech pump(holley 110 gph) on the motor twice replace all rubber hoses, and replace the f/p push rod and still after about four hours when it is cold the bubble start in the fuel pump discharge. when it is hot maybe 1 1/2 before the bubbles form. i even went as far as replacing the accelerator pump and bowl valve in the carb. the only thing left is the equipement in the tank...

what exactly is the problem, you see bubbles? have you attached a fuel pressure gauge and found out what the pressure is? Is the car having any other problems?

yes eventually the pressure drops off and the fuel filter becomes empty. then the car stops. i have yet had time to drop the fuel tank but i will keep things updated. like i said every thing all the way back to the tank has been rebuilt of replaced...

before you pull the tank, try disconnecting the line in the back and the line at the pump and blow compressed air through. Do you still have the original rubber hoses in the back or at the pump, they can collapse internally and look fine on the outside.

all new hoses in front of the fuel pump in back of the fuel pump and all new hoses in front of the tank. the check valve in the sending unit prevent the suction line from empting back into the tack, using a bike tire pump i managed to pressurize the line with fuel in it to dam near 10 lbs. no fuel came out any where. tank vacuum breaker works like it is suppost to plus i left off the gas cap just to see if it wasn't vaccuum locking on me.

so are you saying you have a bad sender unit or there is a blockage in the steel line running from the tank to the fuel pump?
