Hi,

I have a Pontiac Montana 2003, some times appear "battery" on the dash. I wanna check the state of the fuseable link contacts, related with the alternator. But I can't find the fusible link, usually no very far from the alternator unless this hidden within the harness

Somebody knows for this car, where is the location of this fusible link?

Thanks,

normally they are right at the battery, at the starter or at the alternator.

As you know they are hard to spot sometimes because they look just like a wire other than they are a little more flexible and rubbery feeling.

I guess you already cleaned all the battery cables ,power center and jump cable connections?

For the "Pontiac Montana 2003" specifically:

Where is the location?

I would need a OEM service manual to know this for sure. If I knew where they are i would have told you.

You can get this information possibly by waiting here long enough to find someone that has a manual or sign up to Alldata Diy or similar online service.

Thanks so much for this information

I'll have to check all connection relative to battery, grounds and alternator, if alternator have bad connection also can show "battery" on the dash. But tomorrow, have started raining..

According to the picture it is a cable kind. Is it sold to the harness? Or it have connectors?

Thanks,

Since no one has asked, you did check the battery and charging system right?
Did you also check all the battery cables and connections at the battery and jump points for corrosion?

I am thinking you have done this since your asking about fusible links.
