A GM zone rep has indicated to at least one dealer, who passed the info along to at least one customer, that G8 production will commence on September 5, but that special orders cannot be placed until mid-November. I'll keep anyone that's interested up to date.

OK squirrely, I will loan you 35K to buy one if you loan me 25 cents also... deal?:D

i love gm and this car looks great but it is another mistake because of the interior period .....
I would buy this car in a second if the show car interior was an option but since
No navigation screen is offered....
No two tone interior like the show car
The ride height will be higher than the show car pic
The wheels will be smaller making me go drop 4 grand on new wheels ...

Gm... you almost got it right but you have to complete the whole deal!

I can't WAIT for this car to be available for test driving...gotta see what kind of a$$ this thing can haul...considering its 3800lbs...although its shorter than my Grand Prix so...maybe maneuvering abilities will be slightly better...I'm hoping anyway, since the GP's turning radius and parking abilities is like trying to parralell park a bus on 18th street in downtown DC lol...interior doesn't concerning me much...as long as what's under the hood is good stuff and in handles comfortably and has some balls to it ...I'm good...screw nav systems and "bling" and all that crap, yeah its nice if its pretty, but.....I'm takin it to the drag track and see if it can get its big butt down the track in under 14s lol :D

PS-msrp looks like its around $26k...not too bad, about normal for Pontiac

At least 3 confirmed deliveries have taken place of the G8's. First cars are the specially badged 888's. There is no extra charge for these, although some dealers are already threatening gouging. Regular production units are starting to be invoiced as well. All cars are built to an order mix known only to GM/Holden and dealers must tag built vehicles when they get an allocation. Including both V6 and V8 there are only 7 configurations, other than exterior/interior color choices. Maximum price for a fully loaded V8 is still under $33k.
