Gas mileage of a 1978 Firebird?

It has the 350 engine in it. I figured on around 15-18 miles to the gallon (if I'm not using my lead foot). I keep getting different opinions from people on it though. I really want to buy this car as my summer car but I cannot afford the gas if it gets much worse than 15! So, any ideas?!

it depends on the condition of the engine. You dont mention how many miles are on the car. A 350 should get more than 15 miles per gallon if there are no engine problems and the car is not modified.
