Hello All,

I'll just jump right into my problem: I started out with three lights showing in the gauge cluster -ABS Traction Control and Check Engine. From what I was able to research about this issue, there is probably an ABS sensor (or other sensor) that I need to replace. The car, however, drove fine with these warnings showing. Then, while driving on the parkway one day, the battery light came on. Shortly after that, the gauge cluster died, all needles (tech, speedo, gas, and temp) were at their zero position. Also, all of the warning lights I mentioned earlier were off. It was as if the car was turned off, yet it was still running. Next, the transmission began to clunk every time I pressed the gas pedal. Then, the car died. At first, I thought it was the battery. So I installed a new one. Even after the fresh battery install, the battery warning light was still showing (along with the ABS, Traction Control, and Check Engine warnings). A few hours later, the same exact sequence of events happened and the car died. Now, even with the new battery, it won't start. It just clicks as if the battery is dead. Anyone know what's causing this problem?

Thanks a mil in advance.

did you have the charging system checked when the battery died?
can you test the battery with a voltmeter should have over 12 volts.

The alternator seems okay. Also, this was a brand new battery at full charge. As soon as the battery went in, the battery warning light appeared on the dash. I had the battery tested anyway, and yes voltage came back good.

what do you mean the alternator seems ok, was it tested?
