Gear Shift Lever Lighting NOT working

I have a Pontiac Sunfire 2002, The other night the shift lever Lighting went out. Now not a huge deal but would be nice to not have to turn my interior light on every time i switch from park to drive or reverse at night... Anyone have any ideas? tried checking fuses but couldn't find anything on it But then again Im a girl and have no idea what it would be called or what to look for

in all probability the bulb is burnt out and some disassembly of the console is required.

if all else fails, instead of turning on the interior light at night to see what gear your going into, count the clicks. 1 is reverse, 2 is neutral, and 3 is drive.

Mine have been out for over a year now haha, I just don't really pay attention to it anymore.
